All About our Phoenix Liposuction Procedures

What is Liposuction?

Liposuction is the removal of fat cells from areas of the body that a patient finds unsightly. Typically, these areas are extremely stubborn and hard to get rid of through traditional means. Liposuction techniques have come a long way in recent years and many patients are able to enjoy permanent removal of fat cells from troubled areas of their body through these modern methods. During the procedure, a small cannula is gently inserted through little incisions in the body where extra fat is lingering and is gently sucked out. Once these fat cells have been removed they are gone for good.

Where patients could once expect to undergo a very serious surgery under full sedation (general anesthesia) and hours under the knife followed by weeks of healing time to fully recover, patients can now undergo a procedure in which only a local anesthesia is used so they are able to stay awake during the process. The physician performing these modern liposuction techniques is able to provide much more accurate and predictable results and patients are generally able to return to their normal activities within a mere couple of days instead of being completely restricted from daily activities.  Learn about non-surgical liposuction, liposuction for weight loss, and anesthesia techniques by contacting Dr. Hall today for more information about liposuction in Phoenix!

What is SmartLipo?

SmartLipo is a new advanced liposuction technique that uses laser body sculpting methods. Because of the advancement, this type of liposuction is considered among the best liposuction methods and it can be used to contour smaller areas such as the face, neck, or bra bulges, along with traditional treatment areas like the abdomen. Older liposuction instruments, due to their size, did not work on areas that are more delicate. Traditional liposuction can be effective when there is a large amount of fat that needs to be removed; however, it cannot smooth or contour the body. Additionally, SmartLipo can be used to effectively reduce the appearance of other body contour issues such as cellulite.

Liposuction and Brazilian Butt Lift

The extracted fat can be used to reshape other area of the same patient, for example the buttocks. This is a popular procedure known as Brazilian butt lift or a Buttocks Augmentation with fat transfer. The harvested fat is taken from donor areas (like the abdomen, flanks and hips) to be later used to give the buttocks a rounder and smoother shape. If you are considering a natural butt augmentation – you should be a liposuction candidate first, since the fat used to reshape your buttocks has to come from a donor area of your own body.

Tighten skin & smooth body contour

One of the major benefits of Smart Lipo is that use of lasers help tighten up the skin tissues in the areas being treated. Loose, sagging skin can create bad results after liposuction surgery, but lasers can be used to help increase the elasticity of dermal tissues. At the end of the Smart Lipo procedure, the doctor points the laser beams at the skin tissues to encourage the development of renewed and healthy collagen. The skin tightens up in the weeks following the procedure, translating into a smooth, sculpted body contour.

Am I a Candidate?

Good candidates for Phoenix Liposuction procedures should be non-smokers, in good general health and should be close to their ideal weight before the procedure.

Ideal candidates are generally those who:

  • Have elastic skin and good muscle tone
  • Generally healthy individuals who are free from life-threatening illnesses or conditions
  • Have not succeeded in getting rid of stubborn fat spots using diets / exercise
  • Non-smokers
  • Those with an optimistic outlook

Because liposuction is not for weight loss, patients should be seeking out the procedure to sculpt and contour the body, not to lose pounds. However, some areas of the body are particularly prone to storing fat and even dedicated diet and exercise programs may fail to get rid of these fatty deposits. Patients who would like to get rid of these deposits might be good candidates for Liposuction.

Finding the Best Liposuction Technique for You

Many people are looking for the best liposuction procedure that will help them get smoother, more contoured look; yet, they don’t want to undergo a traditional liposuction procedure due to the invasive nature of the technique. Basically, liposuction removes unwanted fat cells residing under the skin that causes those problem areas or bulges. The liposuction technique has changed tremendously over the years. Previous liposuction methods required general anesthesia and very large instruments to remove unwanted fat. New liposuction techniques such as SmartLipo have made liposuction a much safer and more predictable procedure.

What is the Cost?

Here at The Infini Liposculpture Center we only engage patients with simple, straight forward surgical quotes. We also do not utilize high pressure sales tactics or follow up phone calls.

An example of pricing at Infini can be seen below.

An average size woman 5’2” and 135 lbs. desires her abdomen to be reduced.

  • $3,500 total
  • This is approximate of course and based on the amount of fat in these areas. Price would fluctuate 10-15 % up or down based on smaller or larger than average.
  • If this same woman desires to add her waist/hips (mid-section) to the same surgery, only add $1000-$1500 more so a total of approximately $4800.
  • As you can see the pricing gets progressively less as you add areas during the same procedure.
  • All of the pricing is done on an individual basis when one of the doctors personally meet with you.

Even more importantly, all of our surgeons are highly trained in the art of liposuction, so you can rest assured knowing that you are getting the results that you paid for. Trust us; we understand that liposuction isn’t just a surgery. It’s an art form that takes years of experience to master! That’s why we do our best to provide you with only the best doctors around!

What is Revision Liposuction?

What if I have had bad or disfiguring liposuction in the past? This is certainly not an uncommon question when patients come to us for an opinion about corrective liposuction of previous surgery done elsewhere. Liposuction is a very artistic procedure and it takes years to master so it can be easy to have a botched surgery if a reputable surgeon is not chosen.

Revision liposuction is much more difficult than a virgin liposuction procedure and takes more time and attention to detail. Many times the procedure requires the use of specialized instruments as well. At Infini we are a full service liposuction specialty clinic and therefore have invested heavily in advanced instruments and technology to deal with these more challenging cases.

Many times Dr. Hall will combine liposuction, liposhifting, and fat grafting from other areas to correct liposuction defects, lumps, bumps, and irregularities.

For many patients whom have had a poor result with previous liposuction it is very difficult to reach out to another surgeon for correction. Loss of trust, skepticism and depression can all be natural feelings when this happens.

How Long is the Recovery?

Patients can now undergo a procedure in which only a local anesthesia is used so they are able to stay awake during the process. The physician performing these modern liposuction techniques is able to provide much more accurate and predictable results and patients are generally able to return to their normal activities within a mere couple of days instead of being completely restricted from daily activities.

Some patients may feel recovered within 1 to 2 days after the procedure, but this will depend on the amount of fat that was removed from the body and the surface area that was treated.

Many patients are very excited to get back to their normal routine following Liposucton. Recovery periods vary depending on the amount of fat removed from the body, however. If you’re having several different areas treated with liposuction, then it may take you longer to get back to your daily routine. It’s important to follow your doctor’s instructions in this regard if you’re hoping to see good results from your surgery. By getting plenty of rest and allowing your body plenty of time to heal, you ensure better results from the procedure.
